Effective
The short version
This site has no accounts, no cart, no contact form and no advertising, and it sets no cookies. If you only read the site, nothing about you is stored beyond the anonymous page counts described below. If you buy a license or write in, the sections that follow explain what happens to the information involved.
Who is responsible
Praxous LLC operates https://praxous.dev and publishes LadderIDE. For any question about this policy, or to ask what is held about you and have it deleted, write to [email protected].
Analytics
This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics. It is cookieless: it stores nothing on your device, builds no profile, and does not identify you by IP address or browser fingerprint. What it reports is aggregate — which pages were viewed, how often, from which country, and which site linked here.
We cannot follow an individual visitor from page to page, and we cannot connect a visit to a purchase. That is a deliberate trade: knowing how many people reached the downloads page is enough, and it is the reason this site needs no cookie banner.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes your IP address and request headers in order to serve pages, cache them and absorb attacks — unavoidable for any website, and it happens before anything reaches us. Cloudflare retains that data under its own privacy policy; we do not receive server logs and keep no copy of them.
Buying a license
Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, the merchant of record — the seller named on your receipt. Your payment details go to them and never to us. We do not see, hold or process card numbers.
From Lemon Squeezy we receive what is needed to fulfill and support an order: your email address, your license key and its activation status, your order number, and the country and tax amount they calculated. We use it to deliver your key, answer questions about your order, and issue refunds. Lemon Squeezy also provides the customer portal where you retrieve your own key and invoices, which is why there is no Praxous account to create.
License checks from the application
When you enter a license key, LadderIDE contacts the licensing service to confirm the key is valid and has activations left. That request carries the key and an identifier for the machine being activated — nothing about your work. Your ladder programs, tags and generated sketches stay on your computer. LadderIDE does not upload them, and the application contains no telemetry, crash reporting or usage tracking.
Mail to [email protected] is handled by Microsoft 365. A support thread is kept as long as it is useful as support history, then deleted. We do not add you to a mailing list — there is no mailing list — and we do not pass your address to anyone.
Downloads and bug reports
The installer is served from GitHub Releases, and the issue tracker is on GitHub as well. Downloading the installer or opening an issue is an interaction with GitHub under their privacy policy, not with this site. An issue you open is public and stays public — put nothing in one that you would not publish.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see what is held about you, correct it, have it deleted, or object to its processing. Write to [email protected] and we will act on it. Because Praxous holds very little — essentially order records and email threads — these requests are usually quick to answer. Requests about payment data go to Lemon Squeezy, who hold it.
Children
LadderIDE is built partly for students, and younger students are welcome to use it. The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them; a purchase should be made by a parent, guardian or school.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date at the top changes with it. A change that materially affects existing customers will also be sent to the email address on the order.
